Who is an apprentice?

An apprentice is an employee who is employed under an apprenticeship contract. This enables the employer to mould raw talent in a way that suits their individual business needs.

How can it benefit you?

  • Cheaper and more cost effective, with NMW for apprentices being £3.50/hour
  • Young and enthusiastic employees
  • Filling your skills gaps
  • And many more

What do we do?

We are a preferred training provider for Digital / IT Apprenticeships; we take account of individual employers’ needs in developing a valuable apprentice(s) for them by fully supporting them, from Recruitment & Training to ‘End Point Assessment’ (EPA) & Achievements. The latest survey conducted by SFA is showing 100% employer satisfaction with our (LVC) apprenticeship programmes.

Our rigorous and successful off-the-job and on-the-job training schedule creates the perfect environment and opportunities for apprentices to learn and use their skills and new-found knowledge within the workplace.

We manage the whole recruitment process on behalf of employers.

We have a rigorous initial screening process at the beginning. This starts with initial telephone-interview screening, and successful candidates are invited to the centre for an open day where they find the programme suitable for them and also receive advice and guidance. We will then make assessments of their suitability and, if they are successful in the full initial assessment, their CVs will be sent to the prospective employers for their selection.

What do employers do?

Apprentices must be supervised while they are in the workplace. Employers will also need to provide support and mentoring for each apprentice in the workplace and give apprentices the opportunity to engage with their working environment and build on the practical knowledge they gain with the organisation.

Employers are required to allow the LVC assessors to visit their organisation to carry out assessments and reviews periodically.
